Video Ads
  • You can use the image format in the Facebook and Instagram News Feed’s to show off your product, service or brand.
  • File type: MP4, MOV or GIF
  • Ratio: 1:1 (for desktop or mobile) or 4:5 (for mobile only)
  • Video settings: H.264 compression, square pixels, fixed frame rate, progressive scan and stereo AAC audio compression at 128 kbps+
  • Resolution: At least 1080 x 1080 pixels
  • Video captions: Optional, but recommended
  • Video sound: Optional, but recommended
  • Video duration: 1 second to 241 minutes (recommended 15-30 seconds)
  • Maximum file size: 4 GB
Facebook & Instagram Stories
  • Facebook and Instagram Stories are full-screen vertical ads that appear to viewers between organic stories of users a person follows on the platforms. You can utilise either images or videos.
  • File type: JPG, PNG, MP4, MOV or GIF
  • Recommended ratio: 9:16 (equivalent of 1080 x 1920 pixels)
  • Max image file size: 30 MB
  • Max video file size: 250 MB

Lead Generation Guidelines Lead ads allow you to run lead generation campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. Unlike other ad types, lead ads include an Instant Form that lets people show their interest in a product or service by filling in a form with their contact information. After they submit the form, the business running the ad can follow up with them.

There are several requirements needed prior to launch:

  • A link to the Privacy Policy for your business on your website
  • Information outlining why you are collecting contact details and how the business will be using the data
